Jesus went one day to the synagogue in Nazareth. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day. Jesus began to read from Isaiah 61. But after reading verse one, and only half of verse two, he closed the book and sat down. The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD. His earthly mission was composed entirely of these few words. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Jesus quit in the middle of verse two, because the second half of that verse was to be accomplished much later, by the glorified Jesus Christ and his firstborn brothers. This, and on through verse nine, are the province of the second coming of Christ. This is the soon coming “ministry” of Jesus and the corporate Christ.
Consider Isaiah 61:2.5 – 9. At the second coming of Jesus, when all the firstborn Sons are manifest, vengeance against evil and comfort for the righteous will be the first order of business. … the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn. Only the Sons of God can rend the black veil that now encircles the earth. These magnificent beings will be the answer to every problem. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
After they have cleaned up the earth and terminated evil, the Sons will begin a heavenly restoration. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. As Melchisedec priests they will correct every physical and spiritual error. Ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God.
This group will shimmer in celestial glory, the light of life will roll off them in waves. Ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. They will inherit the double portion blessing, reserved for the firstborn of Israel. For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
These Sons of God are the living New Covenant, the essence of God’s heart. For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. They are the forsaken but fortunate, the chosen and proven, the offscouring of earth who become the offspring of God. Their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed. Isaiah 61:2-9.
At the second coming of Jesus, he will first spark the resurrection of his firstborn brothers. These Sons will gather to form the governing council of the universe, called the “Body of Christ.” Then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds. Jesus will take his rightful place at the helm of this invincible cartel. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
All these firstborn Sons will have been birthed in the image of their Father. These are fantastic beings. They are fierce, untamed stoics, intensely focused, conquering warriors who love their job and rule the created realms with all the power of God. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
As an invading army of Kings they shall rise to subdue the earth. These Sons are the celestial elite, trained and empowered for battle. In tumult and conflict, their truth and light will cover the land. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. No device in creation shall deter this unstoppable army. They will crush the ignorance of carnality, and abolish the Satanic enslavement of man. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses.
The glorified Sons of God will fear not to slay, for they are also the resurrection. Out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. Their actions are wisdom, their weapons are truth, and their intentions are the development of agape-love. They will dispense knowledge as a clear stream, to bring forth judgment unto victory. He hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
All the worlds of creation will become the personal possession of the firstborn Sons of God. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Then shall mortal man know peace in a new and brilliant tranquility, for righteousness will rule in their midst. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end. All the creation shall rest, and this divine serenity will continue unmolested for one thousand years. The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
At the first resurrection, all the firstborn Sons of God will step into magnificent permanence, and find themselves clothed with the glory of stellar power. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. Their hearts will whirl with the aria of agape-love. They sung as it were a new song before the throne. This is the divine plan of God, and its implementation is the legacy, ministry, and destiny of Jesus Christ.
